With just 2 weeks to go, preparations are well underway for The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales 2026, including Beyond the Fairway.
Whether you’re joining us on the golf course or as part of the Beyond the Fairway programme, here’s everything you need to know about what promises to be an unforgettable day.

Following the success of last year’s charity golf day, 2026 marks an exciting evolution.
For the first time, the event will host The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales Qualifier, sitting alongside the long established Peter John O’Toole Cup.
Every fourball will compete for:

while each pair within every team will automatically be entered into:
🌍 The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales Qualifier
The winning pair will secure a place at the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals, enjoying:
- World class golf at renowned venues including Wentworth
- The opportunity to play at the Royal Household Golf Club
- Exclusive hospitality
- A Gala Prize Giving Dinner at Windsor Castle attended by a member of the Royal Family

Following the fantastic response to last year’s Beyond the Fairway, we’re delighted to bring it back for 2026 – bigger, bolder and with an exciting new focus.
Designed for business leaders, professionals, educators and anyone interested in the future of work, technology and developing the next generation of talent, Beyond the Fairway offers a completely different experience alongside the golf.
🔬 Techniquest Curiosity Challenge
Kick off the day with an engaging, hands on STEM team challenge delivered by Techniquest. Expect creative problem solving, innovation and a little friendly competition, all designed to spark curiosity, collaboration and fresh thinking.
🏌️ Give Golf a Go with Wales Golf
Try something new with professional coaches from Wales Golf, who will guide relaxed, beginner friendly sessions on the driving range and putting green. No experience is needed – just a willingness to give it a go.
🔥 Fireside Conversations
The afternoon’s centrepiece brings together leaders from business, education and the third sector for an inspiring discussion exploring one of the defining questions facing every organisation today:
How do we prepare the next generation for a world being transformed by AI and rapidly evolving technology?
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the way we work, learn and interact, the discussion will explore how businesses, educators and charities can work together to inspire curiosity, build confidence and develop the resilience and skills that young people will need to thrive in tomorrow’s workplace.
