For over 12 years, RMS has supported Waitrose & Partners with retail change across its store estate, building a long standing relationship based on reliable delivery and experienced in store teams.
Our work has covered store refits, new store openings, merchandising programmes, regulatory change and seasonal peak support, with RMS teams continuing to work across Waitrose stores throughout the year.
In the last 5 years alone, RMS has delivered more than 356,000 hours across multiple project workstreams and over 245 stores, demonstrating the scale and consistency of support provided throughout the partnership.
Today, RMS continues to support Waitrose with regular in store activity, providing flexible, experienced resource for projects ranging from individual store requirements to wider retail programmes.
RMS provides experienced teams who understand the practical demands of delivering change within live grocery environments.
Our support has included:
This flexible approach allows Waitrose to access experienced retail resource as requirements change, whether supporting an individual store project, a wider rollout or additional capacity during key trading periods.
Hove Store Reopening
Following the temporary closure of the Waitrose Hove store after fire damage, RMS supported preparations for its reopening in July 2026.
Working over several nights ahead of reopening, a team of 20 RMS colleagues provided specialist merchandising support to ensure the store was fully stocked and ready to welcome customers.
The RMS programme was completed in four days, helping the store prepare successfully for reopening on 24 July.
Little Waitrose Southwick Square – New Store Opening
RMS supported the opening of the new Little Waitrose & Partners store at Southwick Square, providing merchandising support ahead of its first day of trading.
Our teams helped prepare the store for opening, ensuring products were merchandised and the store was fully shoppable and ready for customers. Delivery was completed to programme, with positive feedback recognising the collaborative effort behind the opening.
Store Refit Programme
RMS regularly supports Waitrose with department level and wider store refits, combining experienced merchandising and installation resource to deliver layout changes, fixture installation and in-store transformation.
Working within live retail environments, our teams help deliver change efficiently while minimising disruption to customers and store operations.
Alongside individual projects and transformation programmes, RMS has provided seasonal support to Waitrose for more than a decade, helping stores respond to increased resource requirements during key Christmas trading periods.
The partnership has also adapted as retail requirements have changed. In 2022, RMS supported the rollout of HFSS compliant layouts across Waitrose stores in England, remerchandising affected categories in line with the new requirements and agreed programme.
From planned programmes to short-turnaround store requirements, our continued work with Waitrose demonstrates RMS’s ability to provide experienced, flexible retail teams that can be mobilised around the needs of individual stores and wider programmes.
RMS continues to work with Waitrose across its estate, with our teams regularly supporting projects in multiple stores each month.
After more than 12 years of working together, our focus remains the same: providing the experienced people, reliable delivery and practical retail expertise required to support Waitrose as its stores continue to evolve.
Leading reliable retail transformations – efficiently and at scale.
