Woodie's, one of the leading home improvement retailers in Ireland, has continued their longstanding partnership with RMS, focusing on store updates and refurbishments in 2024 and into 2025.

In 2024, RMS began a series of store refurbishments, adapting layouts and refreshing stock ranges. As the project progresses into 2025, RMS teams are working on a mix of store reconfigurations, range reviews and total store refurbishments, all of which contribute to enhancing the Woodie's customer experience.

 

 

Homewares Store Refurbishments

In 2024, RMS was tasked with refurbishing six Woodie's stores with bespoke layouts, new product ranges and updated in-store elements. The focus of these projects included:

• Updating Store Layouts - Bespoke display stands were introduced to enhance store aesthetics and improve product visibility.
  
• Range Refresh - Updates to the product range were undertaken to align with current market trends and customer needs.
  
• Improving Store Visual Appeal - The layout was adjusted to make spaces feel fresher and more inviting to shoppers.
  

Each of these refurbishments was completed within four-week project timelines with teams of 8-10 working across different locations.

Store Reconfiguration Projects

In 2025, RMS is continuing with a comprehensive store reconfiguration project. This involves moving products and store sections around to enhance flow and optimise the customer experience. The reconfigurations will span 5-6 weeks per store and will be conducted across 5 locations throughout the year.

Key elements of these projects include:

• Rearranging Product Categories - Improving store layouts by reorienting product categories for better customer navigation.
  
• Smaller Teams - These projects are supported by smaller teams of 4 RMS specialists to ensure efficient execution and minimal disruption to store operations.

Store Section Reviews

RMS is also carrying out several store section updates as part of the ongoing project with Woodie's:

• Wallpaper Review - A review of the wallpaper range across 4 stores to improve the section.
  
  
• Lighting Review: A new range of lighting and displays across the stores to improve the products displayed for customers. 

Total Store Refurbishments

RMS has also been involved in the long-term refurbishment program with Woodie's. These total store refurbishments are planned over a span of 4 years, ensuring that all locations maintain a modern and competitive edge in the retail space.
