Well Pharmacy Appoints RMS For Store Transformation Project

RMS is delighted to announce that we have been appointed by Well Pharmacy to undertake an important merchandising project which will improve their product range in over 100 stores across the country.

This project further extends our foothold within the retail pharmacy sector and builds upon our previous experience of working with leading retail pharmacies including the likes of Boots and Lloyds Pharmacy.

 

An Innovative Partnership

With 760 pharmacies, Well Pharmacy is the largest independent pharmacy business and the third largest pharmacy chain in the UK, as well as being the biggest pharmacy chain in Wales.

In February 2021, Well formed a partnership with Push Doctor to launch the country’s first digital pharmacy service, where pharmacists can conduct online consultations with patients. 

As an innovative company, Well Pharmacy is striving to improve the UK pharmacy model which hasn’t changed much in the last 70 years. A new store model is being developed, which includes the redesign of the dispensing process, while introducing new stock measures so that customers don’t have to wait for their prescriptions.  This allows pharmacists more time to interact with customers, contributing to a better customer experience. 

They are also introducing new technology such as 24/7 prescription pick-up machines and a text notification service.  The aim is to provide a convenient and seamless customer experience and make waiting for prescriptions, a thing of the past.

 

 

The Project

RMS are supporting Well Pharmacy with a merchandising project which involves moving £2.3 million worth of stock across 144 stores.  The stock will fill 3,900 high skew bays, and the work will be completed by 25 of our teams of skilled merchandisers each day.  As with all the work we undertake, Well Pharmacy will be able to track the status of their project in real-time thanks to flex™, our unique scheduling and resource management system which provides our clients with complete transparency over their projects. 

We are providing a full project management service for the Well Pharmacy project which includes 24-hour support.  We have assembled an experienced project management team and a robust reporting structure to support the implementation, and the standout feature of this project is the short time frame – just 4 weeks – in which we have to complete it.  However, we are more than prepared for the challenge.  With the calibre of our people combined with our ground-breaking technology, we are able to confidently manage complex projects which need to be delivered to tight deadlines.
